US OSC Global and InfraShield Launch Advanced Reactor Cybersecurity Program
OSC Global and InfraShield recently announced the joint launch of the "Janus Cyber" program to provide cybersecurity support for developers planning to deploy advanced reactors at US military installations. The program will deliver integrated services covering nuclear regulation, US Department of War (DoW) authorization, and operational technology/industrial control system (OT/ICS) cybersecurity requirements.

The two companies stated that advanced reactors operating in US military environments must simultaneously meet multiple requirements, including nuclear-sector cybersecurity regulation, military authorization, and industrial control system protection. Janus Cyber will coordinate these efforts through a unified team, helping developers establish an adaptable cybersecurity architecture during the continuous iteration of reactor design, thereby preventing cybersecurity issues from becoming project risks at later stages.
John Roche, President of OSC Global, stated that advanced reactor developers are under pressure to design, license, deploy, and secure complex systems within tight timelines, and should no longer have to coordinate separate teams for nuclear regulatory cybersecurity, military authorization, and operational technology security. Janus Cyber aims to integrate relevant expertise at an early stage when design decisions remain flexible, making cybersecurity a project enabler rather than a critical-path risk.
Under the arrangement, InfraShield will be responsible for nuclear cybersecurity regulatory strategy and will contribute its proprietary technologies, including vTraq, PEEPS, UniPath, and NullCloud.ai. OSC Global will provide cyber engineering and operational capabilities, while governance, risk, and compliance (GRC) work will be jointly executed on a project-specific basis. OSC Technical Solutions and OSC Edge will also join the program as key participants.
Mark Rollabo, President and CEO of InfraShield, stated that the US Army is adopting an iterative model centered on learning and improvement, and cybersecurity must offer corresponding flexibility. By establishing a risk-oriented architecture that evolves in tandem with reactor design, developers can adjust their approach through successive iterations, avoiding premature requirement lock-in or costly redesigns.
Janus Cyber's services span early design and architecture, licensing, deployment, and ongoing operations, covering regulatory pathway development, cyber architecture and engineering, operational readiness, supply chain and factory-to-site cybersecurity, as well as offensive testing and assurance. The team is currently available to provide early cybersecurity and licensing planning support to advanced reactor developers seeking to pursue projects at US military installations.
