Concrete pouring for the turbine pedestal of the conventional island of Guangdong Taipingling Unit 3 completed successfully

From September 25 to 27, 2026, the Taipingling Nuclear Power Project construction team completed the mass concrete pouring for the turbine pedestal of the 3BMX conventional island of Unit 3. This construction involved a cumulative concrete pour of 2,946 cubic meters and the consumption of 550 tons of rebar, with the installation precision of embedded parts reaching the millimeter level, marking a phased breakthrough in the key construction path of the conventional island of Unit 3 and laying an important foundation for the subsequent civil construction handover for the turbine foundation and the advancement of the mainline conventional island works.

To ensure the successful completion of the pouring milestone, the Taipingling Nuclear Power Project construction team adhered to the principle of planning ahead and coordinated deployment, quickly establishing a special task force to formulate detailed implementation arrangements around key aspects such as construction organization, resource assurance, safety management, and quality control. By reviewing construction procedures in advance, clarifying job responsibilities, and coordinating resources from all parties, the team made full preparations for the continuous pouring of mass concrete, ensuring the orderly interconnection of all construction tasks.

During the construction process, the project construction team continuously optimized the construction organization plan based on actual site conditions, established a unified command and coordination mechanism, coordinated material transportation, construction equipment scheduling, and on-site work interconnection, and ensured stable operation of all links during continuous construction by implementing shift rotation and handover mechanisms. Faced with long-duration, high-intensity work tasks, all participating personnel worked closely together to promote efficient interconnection of construction processes and ensure the pouring work progressed as planned.

In terms of safety management, the team strictly implemented on-site safety production requirements, with emphasis on strengthening the control of high-risk operations and key construction links, and promptly identified and addressed construction risks through measures such as safety inspections, on-site supervision, and on-site coordination. During continuous operations, all safety management measures ran through the entire construction process, providing assurance for the smooth implementation of continuous pouring work.

In terms of quality control, the team strictly implemented the requirements for mass concrete construction, with emphasis on strengthening the management of key processes such as concrete pouring, temperature control, and later-stage curing, and focused on preventing quality risks during construction. At the same time, for the large number of embedded parts with high positioning precision requirements, the team carried out positioning, review, correction, and joint acceptance throughout the entire process. Through multiple rounds of inspection and verification, construction precision was controlled at the millimeter level, ensuring that the installation quality of embedded parts met engineering requirements.

The successful completion of the mass concrete pouring for the 3BMX turbine pedestal further opened up an important link for the subsequent construction of the conventional island of Taipingling Nuclear Power Unit 3. The smooth implementation of the continuous pouring of 2,946 cubic meters of concrete, along with the refined construction of 550 tons of rebar and various embedded parts, demonstrated the engineering construction team's organizational coordination capability and refined management level under complex construction conditions.
