CGN Begood's Two Self-Developed CT Security Inspection Devices Obtain CAAC Use License
The BGCT-0824 medium-sized CT security inspection device and the BGCT-1050S large-sized CT security inspection device, independently developed by CGN Begood Technology Co., Ltd. (CGN Begood), have recently officially obtained the "Civil Aviation Administration of China Security Inspection Equipment Use License." The acquisition of this qualification marks that CGN Begood has officially entered the core field of civil aviation passenger checked baggage security inspection, achieving a key access breakthrough in the high-end equipment field of civil aviation aviation security.

Both devices certified this time are X-ray computed tomography (CT) explosive detection security inspection devices for passenger checked baggage. Prior to certification, both models had successfully passed the full-process on-site rigorous qualification testing conducted by the Aviation Security Research Institute of the China Academy of Civil Aviation Science and Technology (CAST), with all detection accuracy, radiation safety protection, environmental adaptability, and long-cycle operational stability indicators fully conforming to civil aviation industry technical specifications.
In terms of technical characteristics, both products rely on CGN's long-term accumulation in nuclear technology application and nuclear measurement and control to achieve fully independent research and development of the complete system. The BGCT-0824 medium-sized device adopts a modular compact complete machine architecture, with a small footprint and flexible on-site deployment, capable of precisely adapting to different airport building and process spaces; the BGCT-1050S large-sized device is specifically built for high-traffic checked baggage operation scenarios at large hub airports, with high-speed throughput capability for large-volume, high-density parcels, capable of strongly supporting continuous high-load safe operations at busy aviation hubs.
Compared with traditional dual-view or dual-energy X-ray equipment, CT security inspection systems can obtain complete three-dimensional tomographic slices of inspected baggage, precisely restoring the spatial topology, effective atomic number, and material density information of items inside the baggage. Both systems deeply integrate advanced three-dimensional CT image reconstruction algorithms with artificial intelligence (AI) material identification models, achieving auxiliary automatic identification and alarming for various high-risk explosives and prohibited items, greatly improving the detection probability under complex concealment conditions, and effectively reducing the image interpretation fatigue of civil aviation security personnel.
As CGN's nuclear measurement and control industry development platform and a national-level specialized and sophisticated “little giant” enterprise, the implementation of this civil aviation access license is another key main track opened by CGN Begood in the field of major public security, following its large-scale deployment in customs supervision, entry-exit border inspection, and other port inspection scenarios. The company will continue to advance the iterative research and development and industrialization of serialized nuclear technology security inspection equipment, further broadening the practical application scenarios of smart security inspection in comprehensive transportation hubs.
