Fangchenggang Nuclear Power Data Governance Application Project Selected as an Innovative Practice Case at the 2026 Global Data Management Summit
From August to September 2026, the Greater China Region of the International Data Management Association (DAMA) held an open exchange activity on innovative technologies in data management and artificial intelligence, soliciting data governance innovation practice cases from across the country. Recently, at the 2026 Global Data Management Summit held in Hangzhou, the Fangchenggang Nuclear Power Data Governance Application Project was successfully selected as a “Data Governance Innovation Practice Case.”

This selection is an important achievement of Fangchenggang Nuclear Power's close integration of national strategy and industry development requirements, focusing on the pain points of nuclear power production and operations, and deepening data governance and application. The project revolves around nuclear power production and operations, establishes and improves a data governance system, consolidates the data foundation, and achieves the aggregation, sharing, and in-depth analytical application of production and management business data.
Since being put into application in January 2024, the project has completed data ingestion into the data lake for more than 30 systems, released more than 110 data services, and successfully empowered more than 20 business systems, including the Finance-Business Integration Platform, the Spare Parts e-Point, the BI Platform, AI Agents, and the Safety Risk Prevention and Control Platform. Relying on the unified data foundation, the project has promoted the integrated collaboration of finance and business processes, improved the efficiency and utilization rate of spare parts query and statistics; supported intelligent decision-making for the outage and standby sequence of multi-unit fleets and penetrating production management; and achieved one-stop approval of production permits, automatic statistics of contracted construction, digitalization of safety risk prevention and control, and comprehensive implementation of safety production responsibilities. In addition, the project has effectively improved work preparation quality and operational efficiency, reduced personnel radiation dose, significantly saved overhaul costs and system interface development costs, and achieved real-time visibility, intelligent analysis, and agile scientific decision-making in nuclear power production and operations management.
Previously, the project had been successively selected as a "2024 Typical Case of Advanced Computing Empowering New Quality Productive Forces" by the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, a "2024 Typical Application Case of Artificial Intelligence in the Energy Industry," and a "2025 Guangxi Informatization Empowering High-Quality Development Case," and was displayed for three consecutive years (2024-2026) at the China General Nuclear Power Group booth at the China—ASEAN Expo, actively enhancing public awareness and understanding of nuclear power digital transformation achievements.
This selection as an innovative practice case at the 2026 Global Data Management Summit marks that Fangchenggang Nuclear Power's exploration and practice in the field of data governance has received authoritative industry recognition, fully demonstrating the phased effectiveness achieved by Fangchenggang Nuclear Power in driving high-quality business development with data.
