n situ GIWAXS characterization using synchrotron radiation helps overcome challenges in wide-bandgap perovskites
Wide bandgap perovskites are key light-absorbing materials for preparing high-efficiency perovskite/organic tandem solar cells. To achieve spectral matching with the narrow bandgap organic rear cell, a higher proportion of bromine is usually introduced into the perovskite composition. However, due to the different crystallization rates of iodine and bromine components during film formation, the ph...

Malaysia Calls on ASEAN to Prioritize Nuclear Energy for Regional Energy Transition
Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim called on ASEAN countries at a regional energy conference not to overlook nuclear energy in the process of energy transition. He pointed out that as the region seeks stable, economical, and reliable energy supplies, nuclear energy deserves greater attention. Currently, although ASEAN member states are actively developing renewable energy sources such as solar and wind power, the focus on nuclear energy is notably insufficient, which is considered a regret. Malaysia has sufficient management experience and technical capabilities to explore options that can contribute to common energy goals. Prime Minister Anwar emphasized that nuclear energy can play a key role in supporting the objectives of the ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation, especially in...

U.S. Brookhaven National Laboratory Achieves Milestones in High-Luminosity Large Hadron Collider Upgrade
On July 29, the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN concluded its recent run and entered a four-year shutdown for maintenance. During this shutdown, some LHC components will be dismantled and rebuilt for the High-Luminosity LHC (HiLumi LHC) upgrade project. The U.S. Department of Energy's Brookhaven National Laboratory has recently achieved important production milestones in both accelerator and detector-related work. The LHC helps scientists study the fundamental structure of matter by accelerating and colliding two beams of protons traveling in opposite directions in a nearly 17-mile circular ring. The core goal of the HiLumi LHC upgrade is to significantly increase the number of particle collisions per unit time, i.e., enhance "luminosity," thereby increasing the chance of recording rare interactions.

South Korean Study Confirms Low-Dose CT Arthrography Reduces Radiation Exposure in Shoulder Examinations
A research team led by Professor Choi Jeong-ah from the Department of Radiology at Hallym University Dongtan Sacred Heart Hospital in South Korea has recently confirmed that low-dose CT arthrography can reduce patient radiation exposure by approximately 31% while maintaining high diagnostic accuracy, with diagnostic performance comparable to 3T magnetic resonance imaging (3T MRI). The findings have been published in the international musculoskeletal imaging journal *Skeletal Radiology*. Rotator cuff tears and superior labral anterior-posterior (SLAP) lesions are significant causes of shoulder pain; if not diagnosed and treated in a timely manner, they may lead to arthritis or decreased shoulder joint function. Currently, 3T MRI is commonly used for precise examinations, but it has drawbacks such as high cost, long examination times, and the potential for claustrophobia in some patients;...
